If you are looking for a hearty breakfast packed with protein, this is your breakfast! I mixed up some quick oats along with almond butter, (which if you haven’t tried is sooo much better than peanut butter), cinnamon and flax/chia seeds.
You can either make this as an overnight oatmeal, which means you prepare the oatmeal at night and let it sit in the refrigerator. Or you can cook the oatmeal in the morning as you normally would. Personally,
I love this recipe warm, so I usually do it in the morning.
Almond Butter Overnight Oatmeal
Ingredients
- ½ cup quick oats
- ½ cup almond milk
- 1 tsp almond butter
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp flax/chia seeds
Instructions
- Pour oats and almond milk into half pint jar and let sit overnight
- Or, you can cook in the microwave for 1 minute in the morning
- Add almond butter, cinnamon and flax/chia seeds to oatmeal, mix until well blended
- Top with sliced bananas
