Dan Fogerty might also be described as one of the most important personalities of the American rock music specifically as the CCR’s rhythm and TV guitar, as well as the backing vocalist. Although frequently in the shadow of his more famous younger brother John Fogerty.

Early Life
Raised in Capital Record era, Dan Fogerty was born & raised in Berkeley, California where a music filled home was a norm for a functional working-class family. John and he also had very strong inclination about the music from their tender age and both spent hours of their time listening to the radio with rock and roll, R.B and country music.
Their early years in the San Francisco Bay Area served as a playground in a musical sense, as they got acquainted with all blues, early rock and roll music. The Fogerty brothers started a musical collaboration in their early teens; Dan played guitar, while John learned from him.
Little did their musical creation in the family garage and inspiration from many American rock bands signaled the formation of one of America’s most renowned rock bands. As siblings, riding along to dan’s innate disposition towards team work and readiness to help his youthful brother fulfill his desire to become a musician, the early formations of musicians were soon set in place.
Career
The beginning to Dan’s professional musical career could be shown when he and John started forming a band in junior high school known as The Blue Velvets. The members that would form Creedence Clearwater Revival originally performed instrumental versions of rock and roll songs and provided backup for John on records under the band name of Tommy Fogerty and the Blue Velvets.
As the rhythm guitarist, Dan was part and parcel of laying the groundwork for the development of such a style necessary for the band. Soon Dan started engaging in several other musical ventures but never copied the previous fame he gained out of CCR.

John Fogerty, three years younger than Dan, became one of eth rock stars most significant voices and gifted composers. John was not only the lead singer but also the lead guitarist for CCR and he authored most of the groups records and thus became the group’s face when they started hitting the charts.
When CCR disbanded, John continued with his singing and writing career entailing famous songs like “Centerfield” a well as The Old Man down the Road. The disco brothers never developed the soundest of relationships and their rivalry throughout their lives mirrored most musical families who faced a lot of pressures and challenges in their careers.
However, what both of these personalities contributed to American rock music and especially their three years at CCR that followed an influence of the band on other musicians and enjoyment of their songs by listeners all these years after the band’s disintegration.
